David R. Jolly is the founder and CEO of ovahwood, a lifestyle and media company founded to curate digital and in-person experiences where BIPOC & Latinx gay people can come together to discover and celebrate their remarkable contributions to the world.

With over a decade of experience in public relations, cultivating his skills in California and New York, David decided to embark on a new professional chapter in 2024, founding ovahwood. At ovahwood, David leads with core values encapsulated by the acronym POWER: Pride, Ownership, Worthiness, Exploration, and Respect. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, David enjoys a variety of adventures. Whether he's exploring new destinations, honing his skills on the tennis court, indulging in the immersive experience of concerts and movies, or embracing the challenge of learning Spanish, David approaches life with a curious and open mindset.

As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, David identifies as a gay black male. His commitment to authenticity extends beyond personal identity and informs the inclusive culture at ovahwood.
